I’m sorry I’m just getting to this. To get to your question: there really is no reason to worry. You can’t really mess up. You just answer honestly and everything will be fine. The questions are pretty basic, they ask you if you believe in certain things (i.e. JS being a prophet, living prophets, etc) and things like if you are willing to follow the Word of Wisdom and Law of Chastity. My missionaries actually showed me the list before I was interviewed. I’m not sure if that’s normal, but I would ask if I were you.
Don’t worry though, it’s nothing to be nervous about. I felt the Spirit very strongly when I had mine. It was comforting. :)
And also, feel free to talk to me anytime. You don’t need to be anonymous. If you don’t want me to publish something, just say so!
I’ve been singing and humming hymns (or as one of my elders put it: hymning) a lot today! Especially We Thank Thee, O God, For a Prophet. This has undoubtedly been the greatest day of the Sabbath that I’ve had in a while. It may or may not have something to do with the fact that I recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost today. (Sense sarcasm- of course it has EVERYTHING to do with it!) So I wanted to share this and take the opportunity to thank you all for helping me out, one way or another, during the time that I was “investigating”. I am so grateful to be acquainted with a group of such beautiful spirits as you all are! And so, with this, I declare myself today as a witness of Christ and a member of his church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My heart is full.
It WAS everything and more! Thank you, Melissa. Also- I will change that asap.
Edit: Too bad I can’t figure out how to do that on my phone. I guess…it will have to wait. Bleh.
Thank you, dear Daisy! :)
Ahh. Thank you so much, Joseph! Today has been the greatest of days. Thanks for sharing your testimony, it truly has helped me fortify my own. :)A friend, Leilani Gomez, was baptized today. Congratulations, Leilani!! :)
All the Elders that taught me will be at my baptism! I’m so relieved. I also invited a few friends from school and I hope that they’ll be able to make it. Even if the whole thing will be in Spanish and they don’t all know Spanish. Oh well, I’m sure the Holy Ghost will be there to help. I’m excited/ full of pleasant butterflies in my tummy! I’m worried that my favorite missionary (and also the one that I chose to baptize me) might not make it to my baptism. My current missionaries haven’t been able to get a hold of him. If he can’t come, I’m gonna be so sad. I need him to be there. Maybe I’m overreacting…but if he’s not there, it would almost feel wrong to be baptized on that day. He helped me so much, always pushing me a little further, “bossing me around”, he truly was a great spiritual teacher. The Holy Spirit dwelled in him like no other. Even my mom noticed this about him; she confessed to me last night that he was her favorite. Gee, I really hope he can make it. Time to pray, pray, pray.
